City Central Corporation Additional Commissioner, Daljit Kumar has instructed officials to prepare a comprehensive action plan for the beautification of heritage buildings within the limits of the Bengaluru Central City Corporation.

He pointed to the increasing number of unauthorised LED hoardings and banners and directed officials to conduct inspections across all areas. He ordered them to remove illegal displays and disconnect their electricity supply wherever violations are found.

Mr. Kumar instructed officials to identify the total number of heritage buildings within the jurisdiction, prepare a list of those requiring beautification, and develop a structured action plan accordingly.

Mr. Kumar also ordered beautification measures in spaces beneath flyovers. Officials were asked to conduct site inspections, identify suitable locations for development, and submit a detailed action plan report.

“So far, more than 500 paying guest (PG) accommodations have been inspected within the Central City Corporation limits. A fine of approximately ₹3 lakh has been imposed on establishments violating rules. Eight PG facilities have been sealed, and health officials were instructed to strictly enforce compliance with regulations,” the corporation said in a statement.
