Right-wing celebrity paratroop general and bestselling anti-woke author Roberto Vannacci on Tuesday left the Patriots for Europe caucus at the European Parliament after quitting the right--wing League party, in which he was joint deputy leader, and forming his own political group, National Future.

The Patriots, who include Marine Le Pen, Viktor Orban, the Dutch and Austrian Freedom parties and Vox of Spain, said MEP Vannacci, who garnered half a million votes in the last European Parliament elections, was no longer qualified to be a member.

Vannacci is thus no longer a member of the group that includes, in addition to the League, Marine Le Pen's National Rally, the League delegation announced.

The Patriots Group emphasized that the League remains a full partner party within the Patriots for Europe political family at the European level and that cooperation with the League continues unchanged.
