Three persons were arrested by the Chennai police in Mylapore for possessing narcotic substances. A total of three grams of methamphetamine, 17 grams of OG ganja, one LSD stamp, 16 MDMA tablets, were seized.
Based on a tip-off received by the Anti-Narcotics Intelligence Unit (ANIU), a co-ordinated operation was carried out by the ANIU special team along with a police team led by the Inspector of Police, Mylapore police station.
During surveillance conducted On Thursday morning at Karaneeswarar Koil Street, it was found three persons had narcotic substances for the purpose of sale.
Police registered a case and arrested Harish, 29, of Mylapore; Vasanthakumar, 27, of Dharmapuram; and Sai Shreesaran, 28, of T. Nagar. During interrogation, it was found that Harish works as an AC mechanic, Vasanthakumar works as a bike-taxi driver, and Sai Shreesaran is employed in a private company.
