Madurai City Police have witnessed a significant decline in the number of grave crime cases like murder, attempt to murder and robbery, during 2025 when compared to that of 2024.

While the number of murders has come down by 43%, the number of robbery cases has drastically dropped by 74%.

The City police had used 63 two-wheeler patrol vehicles and 21 four-wheeler patrol vehicles to roam around the city. Besides, each range had a delta vehicle and seven Pink patrol vehicles to take care of women and children safety.
