S. Deivanai, 55, CPI (M) councillor of Ward 11 in Sattur municipality, who met with an accident on Saturday, died of injuries on Tuesday at a private hospital in Madurai.
The police said she had suffered head injuries. Deivanai was the district president of the All India Democratic Women Association. She fell from a two-wheeler on which she was riding pillion on Vembakottai-Sattur Road while returning home after attending a party meeting.
