An 11-year-old girl died in a wall collapse incident at Sathyamurthy Nagar in Fort police station limits in Tiruchi city on Sunday. Police identified the victim as S. Karthika of Sathyamurthy Nagar area and a class VII student.
Police sources said Karthika was walking on a narrow bylane in the morning when a mud wall of a house collapsed all of a sudden and fell on her and another woman.
The girl was rushed to the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital here but was declared brought dead. The other woman escaped with injuries. The Fort Police are investigating.
