Police have arrested four persons for allegedly selling lottery tickets, which is banned in Andhra Pradesh, in Chittoor town. The Chittoor sub-division police, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police T. Sainath, received information about the sale of lottery tickets in the town. During searches in Chittoor town and Janakarpalli Junction, the team caught four persons selling the tickets and seized ₹25,200 from them. Police said the accused had been selling Kerala lottery online tickets at a higher price to earn easy money. The arrested were identified as B. Nanda Kumar, Sendhil Kumaran, S. Ansar and N. Latheef, all residents of Chittoor town and its outskirts. The police appealed to the people not to purchase lottery tickets and waste their hard earned money.
