Late subversive Propaganda Due (P2) grand master Licio Gelli, convicted for his part in the neofascist 1980 Bologna train station bombing that killed 85 people, was right about a reform of the judiciary that is going to a referendum in March which would split the career paths of judges and prosecutors so they can no longer swap between them.

a move the government denies will place prosecutors under the executive, Justice Minister Carlo Nordio, the architect of the reform, said Tuesday.

"I don't know P2's plan.

I can say that if Signor Licio Gelli's interpretation, or rather his opinion, was correct, there's no reason why it shouldn't be followed because he said so," Nordio said on the comments of Naples Attorney General Aldo Policastro, who claimed that the reform would implement the P2's plan.

"Truths don't depend on who proclaims them, but on the objectivity they represent.
