My personal style signifier is a technical jacket. Norwegians always have one in our tote bags and backpacks – the weather changes a lot here. Jackets are important because they’re what people see first when they meet you. I don’t wear branded apparel and love function first, like my purple light down jacket from our first AW24 collection. It’s water-repellent but doesn’t look too outdoorsy.

The last thing I bought and loved was a silver and blue beaded necklace from a Japanese-inspired German brand called Gottlob. They are all about craftsmanship and everything is handmade at the family atelier. I don’t like it when necklaces are too short, so I asked them for a custom 70in version. I think it’s lucky: when I wear it, good things seem to happen; I have good meetings.

The place that means a lot to me is Oslo, where I’ve lived for 18 years; I was born in Stavanger, a city on the west coast where life moves at a slower pace. Oslo isn’t that big but it’s a mix of people and cultures. Everyone has their spots: I usually hang out with friends in Tøyen, St Hanshaugen or Bjørvika, which is closer to the sea. Oslo integrates nature and the city into everyday life; when you emerge from the airplane, you immediately feel the fresh air. Everyone is very grounded here.
