DVAC seizes unaccounted cash from sub-registrar offices during festive season, conducting raids based on tip-offs and complaints.
Officials from the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) seized a total of ₹1.97 lakh unaccounted cash from Sub-Registrar offices at Jolarpet, Arcot and Tiruvannamalai towns in the early hours of Thursday.
DVAC sources said that a large number of property registration are done in these Sub-Registrar offices for the past few weeks, taking advantage of the festive season.
