The Tamil Nadu Mediation and Conciliation Centre (TNMCC) has settled 1,361 out of 25,584 cases referred to it as part of the nationwide ‘mediation for nation’ campaign led by National Legal Services Authority and Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee between July 1 and September 30, 2025.

In a press release, the TNMCC said more than 25,000 cases related to matrimonial disputes, accident claims, domestic violence, cheque bounce, commercial disputes, service matters, criminal compoundable cases, consumer disputes, debt recovery, partition, eviction, land acquisition and such other matters were referred for mediation.

The mediation was conducted through physical, online as well as hybrid modes according to the convenience of the parties and district as well as Taluk legal services authorities too were requested to facilitate online mediation. Weekly reports regarding settlement of cases were sent to the Supreme Court.

As per the final data forwarded to the Supreme Court on October 6, the TNMCC had settled 1,361 cases.
