Mangaluru International Airport handled the highest ever 8,168 passengers with 61 flight movements on a single day on October 1, 2025.“On Mahanavami, Mangaluru airport marked a big milestone, achieving its highest single-day passenger movement since the airport’s Commercial Operation Date (COD) of October 31, 2020,” the airport posted on X.“A moment that reflects our journey of growth and resilience, and the trust of every passenger,” it said. Of the passengers handled included 2,183 international, 5,971 domestic and 14 non-scheduled, the post said.Of the total 61 flight movements, 46 were domestic (23 arrivals and 23 departures) and 12 were international (six arrivals and six departures). In addition, it handled one chartered flight and two defence flights. The chartered flight was used by Deputy Chief Minister D.K.
