A NCC cadets rally being formally flagged off to mark the launch of ‘All India Trekking Expedition-2025’ in Tirupati on Friday.

The All India NCC Trekking Expedition-2025 commenced on Friday (September 26, 2025) in Tirupati. As many as 509 cadets and 15 associate officers representing the States of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala and Karnataka, and the Union Territories of Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep (collectively bracketed into five NCC Directorates) arrived here for the mega camp titled as ‘AP TREK 1’.The trek will be undertaken in the Seshachalam Biosphere Reserve, the huge forest abutting the city. The cadets will also visit SV Zoological Park, Nagaravanam ecological park, Regional Science Centre and Tirumala hills as part of their tour, said Tirupati NCC Group Commander Colonel Satinder Dahiya.As part of the educational tour, the cadets will get to know the floral and faunal biodiversity of the region and the unique species available here, besides getting a cross-cultural exchange. The camp will end with a mega cultural programme, where the cadets will display art and dance forms representing their respective traditions and cultures. Published - September 26, 2025 08:26 pm IST
