The NCC Unit of Jyoti Nivas College Autonomous, under the 1 Karnataka Girls Battalion, inaugurated its new Obstacle Training Range, ‘Jyoti Path’, on January 23, 2026, at the college parade ground.
The facility aims to strengthen practical training and enhance the physical preparedness of NCC cadets.
Chief Guest Col. Vinay Ahluwalia, Commanding Officer of the battalion, officially opened the range, accompanied by Administrative Officer Lt. Col. Deepa Chandrashekhar, NCC officials, instructors, and college authorities.
In his address, Col. Ahluwalia stressed the value of obstacle-based training in building discipline and leadership.
Dr. Sr. Mary Louisa S, Principal of the College, highlighted its role in grooming confident cadets. Five cadets demonstrated key drills, after which participants were felicitated. The college stated it is Bengaluru’s first women’s college to host such a facility.
