A total of 56 sovereigns jewellery and ₹95,000 were stolen from a house on Thursday evening.
Sivakumar (58), a resident of NKN Nagar in Narasothipatti, is a joint director at Sidco in Salem. His wife, Manimegalai (52), is an assistant director in the agriculture department in Namakkal district. On Wednesday, the couple went for their work and returned on Thursday evening and found the front door open. When they checked the house, they found jewellery and cash stolen from the almirah.
