Tourism Minister R. Rajendran laid foundation and participated in the ground breaking ceremony for renovating the hill path and constructing wall at Kumaragiri Dhandayuthapani Swami Temple near Sanniyasigundu here on Thursday.The Minister told reporters Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has launched a historic scheme for the development of temples through the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, which allows all caste people to become priests. He is implementing various schemes such as improving and providing basic facilities to devotees, recovering lands belonging to temples, reconstructing holy tanks for temples, and carrying out renovations in temples.Based on that, on Thursday, the foundation stone for the hill road renovation work worth ₹80 lakh at the Kumaragiri temple and the construction of wall worth ₹65 lakhs have been laid and the work has been started. The officials have been instructed to complete all the renovation works in a quality manner within the due time and open it for public use, the Minister said.In the function, District Collector R.
