Revenue Minister K. K. S. S. R. Ramachandran laid the foundation stone for new schemes and inaugurated various completed projects all at a cost of ₹33.35 crore in the district on Wednesday.
The projects inaugurated by the Minister, included additional classroom buildings built in Sankarankovil and Melaneelithanallur taluks on an outlay of ₹1.03 crore and laid foundation stone for constructing classrooms in the schools at Puliyarai, Seevanallur, Melapaavoor, Saayamalai, Aavudaiyaanoor and Vedhampudhur and for the boat jetty to be constructed at Melapaavoor Periyakulam. The boat jetty will be built at a cost of ₹3.50 crore.
