Italian Defence Minister Guido Crosetto on Wednesday condemned the latest attack by Israeli forces on the UNIFIL mission in Lebanon, stressing that it was no accident.
"This is a significant, serious act," Crosetto told daily newspaper Il Foglio.
"And the difference with past incidents is that this event, which also affected our contingent, is not a mistake, something that happened independently of the IDF's will, but, according to what UNIFIL said, it was a deliberate choice.
"As deliberate on their side as it is incomprehensible and unacceptable to us.
"I will express to my Israeli counterpart our total disapproval (and then some) about what happened with all the force possible".
