'Out of Nowhere: The Ultimate Rescue,' which tells the story of Noam Tibon rescuing his family on October 7, will be shown at the prestigious festival after organizers found a solution to 'satisfy important safety, legal and programming concerns'
The Toronto International Film Festival will reportedly screen an Israeli documentary film about a retired Israeli general who rescued his family on October 7, organizers said on Thursday, days after removing it from its slate.
According to Deadline, organizers of the TIFF "worked together to find a resolution to satisfy important safety, legal and programming concerns," allowing for "The Road Between Us: The Ultimate Rescue" to be shown at the film festival.
The film tells the story of Major General (res.) Noam Tibon, who raced to Kibbutz Nahal Oz to save his son and his family during Hamas' deadly attack on October 7, 2023.
"The Toronto Film Festival made the correct decision tonight," Tibon said in response, "It's an important movie that presents the truth about the horrors carried out by Hamas on October 7, and presents the world with clear testimony that cannot be ignored."
