The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) has announced it will show a documentary about the Hamas-led October 7 attack on southern Israel, after initially cancelling the screening over copyright concerns.
TIFF initially cancelled the screening as Barry Avrich – the Canadian filmmaker behind The Road Between Us: The Ultimate Rescue – did not receive permission from Hamas to use clips featured in the film recorded by the Palestinian group.
