The investigation by the R.S. Puram police into a dead lizard found in the food served at a restaurant in Coimbatore in May this year revealed that it was a conspired act to spoil the restaurant’s reputation.

The police on Wednesday arrested two of the five accused, who were directly involved in the staged act of placing a dead lizard in the food.
