The Southern Railway has effected the short-termination of Karaikal-Tiruchi-Karaikal DEMU services (76819/76820) from June 23 in view of the engineering work between Tiruvarur and Kilvelore on the Karaikal-Nagapattinam-Tiruvarur section.
According to an official release, the DEMU service number 76819 will commence its journey to Tiruchi from Tiruvarur instead of Karaikal at its scheduled departure time of 4.15 p.m. and the DEMU service 76820 will leave Tiruchi at 8.35 a.m. and run only up to Tiruvarur till June 29, excluding June 24, because of the engineering work.
