Generali on Thursday posted first-quarter profits of 1.2 billion euros, the Trieste-based insurer said.

In the first quarter, the first of the new plan, Generali's gross premiums reached 26.5 billion (+0.2%), thanks to the P&C segment.

Life net collection exceeded three billion (+30.4%).

Operating result grew to 2,067 million (+8.9%), led by the P&C branch.

Normalized net profit was up to 1.2 billion (+7.6%) while the net result fell to 1,195 million from 1,256 million in the same period 2024, which also included a non-recurring profit (58 million net of taxes) from the sale of Tua Assicurazioni.
