Tesla will unveil its long-delayed Roadster on October 1, nearly a decade after its initial reveal. The electric-vehicle maker announced the upcoming unveiling on its social media platform X. This event could feature a demonstration of a special edition with SpaceX thrusters. The Roadster program has faced repeated delays since its 2017 unveiling. This announcement follows recent Cybercab rides offered in Austin, Texas.

Tesla’s halo sports car was first announced in November 2017.

The performance EV may have technology developed in partnership with SpaceX.
