Ottawa-based Jackpine took 100 orders for 'Lake Ontario' caps shortly after launching the product online in response to Trump’s threats.

Historians say the lake’s name was first used by Europeans in the 1600s, and the name first appeared on maps of North America as early as the 1660s.

One of the Great Lakes has become the latest target in U.S. President Donald Trump's trade war with Canada, highlighting his penchant for renaming bodies of water and landmarks.
