A partial lunar eclipse will take place during the night of 27–28 August. At its peak, around 96 per cent of the Moon’s disc will be covered by the Earth’s shadow. Unlike a solar eclipse, no special filters or protective equipment are required to view it. In Italy, the most spectacular moment will occur at around 6.12

The August full moon will coincide with a deep partial lunar eclipse in Pisces.
