The POS Operators and Allied Informal Financial Workers Union of Nigeria (PAFWUN) has rejected a reported N300 weekly levy imposed on Point-of-Sale (POS) operators in Olorunda Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Badagry, Lagos State, describing it as double taxation and exploitation of informal workers. In a statement dated August 22, 2026, and signed by its General Secretary, Salako Kayode, the union demanded the immediate suspension and cancellation of the levy.

The party also gave the Council administration a seven-day ultimatum to explain the legal basis for the levy and provide details of monies collected from affected operators.
