Fitch has affirmed the United States sovereign credit rating at “AA+” with a stable outlook, citing its large economy, high per-capita income and the dollars reserve-currency status. The agency expects US growth to slow to 1.9% in 2026-27, while inflation, weakening job creation and elevated fiscal deficits remain concerns.

Fitch kept the US credit rating at AA+ with a stable outlook on Aug 22, 2025, while projecting debt-to-GDP rising to 127% by 2027.
