A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Kenneth Okonkwo, has attacked President Bola Tinubu over his defence of the neutrality of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Okonkwo accused the President of turning himself into INEC’s “spokesperson” and attempting to shield the electoral body from legitimate scrutiny despite lingering concerns over its credibility.

On preparations for the general elections, the president said INEC has been neutral.
