The Inspector-General of Police said Mr Adeniyi remained in custody under a court order and could only be brought before the committee if a competent court issued a reproduction warrant.

The directive was issued on Monday during the resumed investigative hearing at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja.

"People's names are involved. People's integrity is involved. Institutional names are involved. Institutional integrity is involved."
