Nigerian Lawyers Protest Alleged Plot To Rig NBA Election In Rivers State, Demand Suspension

Some aggrieved lawyers at the Port Harcourt Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) gathered on Friday morning as members assembled for the branch's election amid allegations that the Electoral Committee (ELECO) was attempting to manipulate the process in favour of preferred candidates. The aggrieved lawyers accused the Electoral Committee of plotting to rig the election and vowed to resist any attempt to compromise the integrity, credibility, and transparency of the electoral process.
