US President Donald Trump on Thursday said the proposed US-Saudi civil nuclear agreement would only be approved if Saudi Arabia normalises diplomatic relations with Israel by joining the Abraham Accords, adding that the deal would not permit uranium enrichment or any military nuclear programme.

Trump said the agreement prohibits Saudi Arabia from enriching uranium.

Two agreements on “peaceful nuclear cooperation” and “bilateral safeguards” signed by US energy secretary and his Saudi counterpart.

Trump announced that the new "peaceful nuclear cooperation agreement" hinges on the Saudis joining the Abraham Accords.
