The African Action Congress (AAC) candidate for the Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections, Oyekan Abiodun, has criticised Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and the member representing the constituency in the House of Representatives, Okunjimi John Odimayo, over the deplorable condition of the Ore-Okitipupa Road. In a personally signed statement issued on Tuesday, Abiodun described the road as a "death trap," accusing the political leadership in Ondo State of failing residents despite repeated complaints about the condition of the federal highway.
