AMMAN: Jordan's Aqaba seaport is working normally and it has not been evacuated, the Director General of the Aqaba company for ports told Reuters on Sunday. The statement came after the US embassy in Amman on Sunday said that Jordanian authorities have evacuated the airport and the seaport in the coastal city of Aqaba, citing a threat that was not immediately specified. “We strongly advise all Americans to refrain (from) traveling to either the airport or seaport. Continue to follow all Jordanian authorities’ security directives,” the embassy said, without providing further details.
