The US will impose a 25% tariff on most imports from Brazil starting later this month. It's the first action in the Trump administration's new tariff strategy, after the Supreme Court struck down its prior impositions.

Brazil is bracing for a US tariff of up to 25% as the July 15 deadline lands, holding retaliation in reserve while betting Washington may only delay it.

The fresh levy will go into effect July 22 with exemptions for a list of goods, including those covered by Section 232 duties.
