A 26-year-old man arrested on suspicion of the murder of former British government minister Ann Widdecombe has been released and is no longer part of the investigation, police said on Saturday.

British police have arrested a suspect in the killing of Ann Widdecombe, a former British member of Parliament and reality TV contestant.

Ann Widdecombe, a 78-year-old former Tory MP turned Reform UK spokeswoman, was found dead in her home with serious injuries, police said.
