The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast an active spell of monsoon across large parts of the country over the coming week, with widespread to heavy rainfall expected in several regions. The weather agency has also said conditions are favourable for the Southwest Monsoon to advance into the remaining parts of northwest India and cover the entire country within the next two to three days.
