The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast widespread rainfall across large parts of the country on Friday, July 11, with heavy to very heavy rain likely over several northern and eastern states. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are also expected in many regions as the monsoon remains active.According to the IMD, a low-pressure area over northern parts of central Uttar Pradesh is expected to weaken gradually over the next 24 hours.
