Hungary's public broadcaster went off-air on Tuesday, replaced by an on-screen apology, after Péter Magyar's new government installed interim management and sacked staff accused of pro-Orbán bias. #EuropeNews

Hungary's public news channel M1 temporarily suspended its news broadcasts to restructure the state media system to create an independent and credible public broadcaster.
