Folarin Balogun's two-goal World Cup debut and red card suspension have made the Brooklyn-born USMNT striker the tournament's most controversial figure.

FIFA gave the U.S. striker Folarin Balogun, the team’s leading goal scorer at this World Cup, a rare reprieve for his controversial red card, allowing him to play against Belgium.

Folarin Balogun was born on July 3, 2001, in Brooklyn, New York, to Nigerian parents Florence and Ben Balogun.
