The first days of implementation of the €3 fee on small parcels from non-EU countries seem to have brought a temporary halt to the massive influx of low-value products traded via e-commerce.

The EU will impose a €3 customs duty on low-value imports under €150 starting July 2026, targeting Chinese e-commerce platforms Temu, Shein, and AliExpress.

The move follows similar action by the US against low-cost imports from China
