Union minister Margherita, Bihar Governor Hasnain to represent India at Khamenei's funeral: MEA

India will send Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita and Bihar Governor Syed Ata Hasnain to Iran for the burial ceremonies of late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The high-level delegation's presence highlights the strong civilisational and people-to-people ties between India and Iran, forming a solid base for their political and economic relations. The funeral events are scheduled across several Iranian cities from July 4th to July 9th.
