NEW DELHI: Amazon on Thursday announced fresh investment of $13 billion, which will largely go towards AI and cloud businesses, taking its recent commitment to $48 billion by 2030 and making it the largest overseas investor in the country.

Amazon will invest an extra $13bn in Indian cloud and AI infrastructure, lifting its 2026-2030 commitment to $48bn, announced as Jassy met Modi.

Since launching in India, Amazon has digitized 12 million small businesses and supported 2.8 million jobs.
