Qatari firm acquires Berlusconi’s Sardinian palace for $395m

RIYADH: The heirs of late Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi have agreed to sell the Villa Certosa to a Qatari company, in what ranks among the largest private real estate transactions in Italian history. Constellation Hotels Holding, a Qatar-owned hospitality group, paid approximately €350 million ($395 million) to acquire the estate located in the Costa Smeralda region on the island of Sardinia.
