HCLTech strategically invested $1.5 billion in Indian AI startup Sarvam AI, acquiring a 10.5% stake. Sarvam raised $234m led by HCLTech ($150m) at a $1.5bn valuation, making the Bengaluru sovereign-AI company India's newest AI unicorn.

Bessemer Venture Partners, and existing investors Khosla Ventures and Peak XV Partners also participated in the round that values Sarvam at $1.5 billion.
