Yair Golan, former Deputy Chief of Staff of the Israeli military and current Chairman of Israel’s Democrats party, launched a fierce attack on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday. He accused Netanyahu of overseeing what he called one of the most severe strategic failures in Israel’s history, following reports of a new agreement between the United States and Iran.

He promised Israelis “total victory” but has fallen short on three fronts.

Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid says the emerging agreement with Iran fails to deliver on any of Israel’s stated war objectives.
