ZEC surges 11% to reclaim the top privacy coin spot over Monero, gaining 80% since June 5 despite lingering concerns over an Orchard pool bug.

Zcash dropped 38% after disclosing a four-year-old counterfeiting vulnerability in its Orchard shielded pool. Arthur Hayes exited his entire ZEC position.

The plan would let anyone verify that no counterfeit coins are circulating, addressing the patched bug that triggered last week's crash. ZEC is still down about 22% on the week.
