Air raid sirens sounded on Sunday as Israel’s military worked to intercept Iranian missiles for the first time since an April ceasefire.

The Israeli army reported the attack just hours after Tehran had threatened to retaliate for a new Israeli strike on Beirut, Lebanon.

On Sunday, Israel launched airstrikes in Beirut's southern suburbs. Iran retaliated with its own strike on Israel, which led to Monday morning's attack by Israel on Iran.
