Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin has said that he has read the open letter from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and "sees no point in holding a meeting".

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has proposed in an open letter dated 4 June that Russian ruler Vladimir Putin set a date and meet to end the war.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said the Kremlin had seen Volodymyr Zelenskyy's letter and that Vladimir Putin will be briefed on it later.
