Hobart/Lawrence Police Chief Michael Renkas confirmed Jacobs' arrest on Tuesday, stating he was booked into Brown County Jail on charges that also include battery-domestic abuse, criminal damage to property-domestic abuse, disorderly conduct-domestic abuse, and intimidation of a victim. Jacobs' legal team, comprising David Chesnoff, Richard Schonfeld, and Clarence Duchac, issued a statement vehemently denying the allegations and requesting fairness and restraint as the investigation is in its early stages. Both the Green Bay Packers and the NFL have acknowledged the situation, with the Packers stating they are aware but withholding further comment due to the ongoing legal nature of the matter. Jacobs is a key player for the Packers, having been their top returning rusher last season with 929 yards and 13 touchdowns, and previously earning All-Pro honours with the Raiders.
